The London Metropolitan University - The Home of the Frederick Parker Collection
The Frederick Parker Collection of Chairs is located at London Metropolitan University (the former London College of Furniture). The University uses the Collection to support its research and offers short courses, diplomas and degrees in design history, restoration and conservation.
The Collection is housed in a dedicated gallery at The London Metropolitan University in the Commercial Road, just east of the City of London. The University has an important furniture section in The Sir John Case Department of Art, Media and Design. The faculty has been involved in the education of furniture and design, musical instrument making and conservation for over a hundred years and runs short courses, foundation degrees and research degrees.
