The Metropolitan Works is the home of our Collection at the London Metropolitan University, 42-47 Commercial Road London E1. The Collection is housed in a dedicated gallery to be used to support the Universities research and their short courses, diplomas and degrees in the design, history, restoration and conservation of furniture.
The Gallery is next door to the University's main entrance on the right hand side.

Public Transport
The nearest Underground Train Station is Aldgate East Station, Hammersmith District. Zone 1.
Best platform exit is the one market " Whitechapel Library".
The nearest National Rail Station is Limehouse.

Private Transport
It is extremely difficult to find parking, and if found it is expensive to park anywhere near Commercial Road, so good advice is to use public transport as detailed above.
